A note from Jason
Life rarely moves in a straight line. What matters is seeing clearly, preparing well, and making moves that compound over time.
I started in engineering, moved into capital markets, and then into talent development at one of Canada’s leading financial institutions. Along the way I’ve sat where analysts and associates sit now, and I’ve advised the senior leaders who ultimately determine who gets hired, promoted, or quietly sidelined. That combination of seat time in the trenches and time in the room with decision makers shaped how I think about careers: the small details most people ignore, and patterns behind who advances, and the real cost of drifting on autopilot.
If you’re a student or early career professional trying to break into finance and feel anxious, underprepared, or unclear about how to build a sustainable career path, I can help. If you’re already in the industry and feeling burnt out, stuck in politics, or unsure how to move from doing the work to being seen as leadership, I can help. The guidance I share comes from lived experience on both sides of the table, not theory.
Whether you're building your foundation or breaking through to the next level, we’ll work with clarity and systems so you’re not just working harder, but moving in the right direction. It’s always better late than never, but it's even better to be early.
